Adventure is
better shared.
We have several trips planned for 2026/2027 and are looking for like-minded, adventurous people to join us! Whether it’s an all-inclusive boating package in Ecuador or an escorted expedition through northern Mexico, we offer fantastic opportunities to bring your own boat and create your own adventure.
Ecuador is a boater’s paradise, with more rivers per square mile than any country on earth! We look forward to returning every year. We have rowed many of the rivers in Ecuador and are again offering fully outfitted trips in 2026/2027 where our trusted local partners handle all of the logistics, and we boat with some of our Ecuadorian friends — join us on a shared adventure!
This year’s trips are scheduled for December through March, during the drier season so the water is generally lower and the weather warmer (although March can have some bigger water). Bring your own boat or rent a cataraft from us. Rafts, kayaks, inflatable kayaks, and a paddle/row cat are available to rent from our trusted local partners. Boating is possible year-round. We can help you book a trip even if we are not going to be there.
Our Ecuadorian friends at Kayak Ecuador and Pacha Eco Lodge will take great care of you!
Just south of the US/Mexico border (Arizona) lies an expansive and impressive watershed that offers a variety of rivers to be run – the watershed of the Rio Yaqui. The Yaqui drains the area north of Copper Canyon, flowing through a maze of canyons that twist and turn in every direction to eventually enter the Sea of Cortez south of Ciudad Obregon in the State of Sonora.
The canyons are spectacular, with rocky headlands towering over thorn bush and cactus covered hills above the river. Boaters need solid backcountry and boating skills to safely navigate these rivers. Once you enter the canyons, you are pretty much on your own. There are few people inhabiting this area and rescue and medical services are virtually non-existent. However, there are isolated ranches and small villages along the rivers where you may be able to exit the canyon in the event of an emergency.
If you’re looking for an adventure south of the border, contact us and we’ll see what we can put together for your group.
